1. Introduction
AI Code Toolkit ("we", "us", "our") operates the website aicodetoolkit.com and related properties (collectively, the "Service"). We are a reference library and toolkit for developers using Anthropic's Claude Code and, in the future, other AI coding platforms.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over that information. It applies to all users of the Service, worldwide.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, join the Toolkit CLI waitlist, or submit a contact form.
- Contact form details — your name, email, and message when you write to us via any contact form.
- Community submissions — if you contribute commands, hooks, or configs via our GitHub repositories, your GitHub username and submission content become public.
- Comments — if we enable comments (via Giscus or similar), your GitHub identity and comment content are public.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data — IP address (typically truncated), browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps, collected by our servers and Cloudflare.
- Analytics data — anonymized page views, session duration, device type, and country, collected via privacy-first analytics (Plausible and/or PostHog).
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for full details.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate the Service — delivering pages, personalizing content, and preventing abuse.
- To communicate with you — sending the newsletter you subscribed to, replying to your emails, and notifying you about the Toolkit CLI when it launches (if you joined the waitlist).
- To improve the Service — understanding which content is helpful, which pages have errors, and what developers are looking for.
- To ensure security — detecting fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal obligations — responding to lawful requests from authorities where required.
We do not use your personal information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We share personal information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers — trusted third parties who process data on our behalf under written agreements (see Section 6 for the list).
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AI Code Toolkit, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if the Service is acquired, merged, or reorganized, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified.
- With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we ask for it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use a small number of essential and analytics cookies. Full details, including a table of every cookie set and how to opt out, are in our Cookie Policy.
6. Third-Party Services

- Contact form messages — up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
- Analytics data — anonymized aggregates retained indefinitely; raw logs typically 30-90 days.
